My name is Kevin Q. Dugan, I’m a self-taught, Denver based artist. I work in several mediums but, most recently I’ve been working on a series of ink drawings of birds wearing sneakers. We are living in a very troubling time and I want to draw whimsical, silly subjects to bring a little lightness to the viewer’s perception, using the absurd and ridiculous to make you smile, stay positive and know that we will get through this. Birds are fascinating and beautiful creatures. Seeing a bird wearing sneakers, I hope you can see yourself in that bird and realize that you are a part of the natural world.
